Creating Smudge Sticks for Beginners Workshop: 1 Hour

This is an introductory course into the art of smudging.

In this course, we will explain the metaphysical and spiritual uses of many plants, flowers, and herbs.

The discussion will be opened up to the history of smudging, practices around the world, and cultural traditions.

Each class participant will be given the opportunity to create their own smudge-stick from fresh flowers and herbs.

*You are allowed to bring one (1) extra participant with you - for an additional $15. We will provide enough materials for 2 smudge sticks and your guest is able to participate in the class discussion.

Please read the bottom section for rules and guidelines regarding guest privileges in our workshops. Failure to follow rules may result in cancellation of your workshop.  

What This Course Includes:

• Information about creating different types of smudge sticks 

• Metaphysical properties of herbs and flowers commonly used in smudging 

• How to safely smudge and what to do if something goes wrong.

• Guidance, tips, tricks, and hacks from your instructor on wrapping smudge sticks.

• The opportunity to create your own smudge stick using fresh herbs and flowers to take home.

• An affirmation/incantation card to conduct your own cleansing

• & tons of more information! 

We recommend that you bring a journal for taking notes!

* We will dry your finished smudge-stick in our dehydrator and ship/deliver to your home! -No need to come back to the shop! 

Requirements for this class:

*Closed toe shoes are required in our warehouse. You will be asked to reschedule if you do not have proper footwear for this course.

*All AGES WELCOME - Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult*

How to schedule your class:

*Due to materials being purchased for any classes booked through us, we do not offer full refunds for cancellations of your class.

**If you need to cancel your class, we will refund you 75% of your fee provided the following conditions are met: 

Please cancel at least 2 hours before your class is scheduled to start. Classes starting at 1pm must be canceled before 11am on the same day of the class for a partial refund.** 

We will happily reschedule your class up to twice, for free. You must reschedule your class within 14 days. You must ask to reschedule2 hours before your class is scheduled to start; similar to our cancellation policy. 

Please show up on time to your class. Doors will open 15 minutes before the class starts and will remain unlocked for up to 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. After 15 minutes, you will be marked as a ‘No Show’.

Appointment no-shows will not be refunded. Please cancel your appointment to receive a partial refund at least 2 hours before the class is scheduled to start. 

‘No Shows’ may also lose the opportunity to schedule future classes with us. We will evaluate each circumstance on a case by case basis. 

GUEST RULES, GUIDELINES, and PRIVILEGES: 

• We must be notified during booking that you intend to bring a guest with you. Showing up with an unexpected guest may result in your class being rescheduled. We are firm on our guest policy. 

• Guests are not required to participate in the class, however they are able to listen to the discussion. Guest spots are limited and come with a drink and snack. We will provide additional seating options if they will not be standing at a workstation with you.

• Guests who wish to participate must wear proper protective equipment provided by Kay’s Magic LLC.

• Closed toe shoes are required by all guests regardless of participation. 

• You may bring up to one well-behaved child as your guest. We ask that children are not disruptive to the workshop. Please bring a quiet activity for your child.

• A drink and small snack per person (including guests) is provided  - however - you may bring your own drinks including alcoholic beverages. Age verification will be required to bring and consume alcohol on the premises
